Blast Cleaning of Light Metal Castings

Tumblast (sometimes known as tumble blast or barrel blast) cleaning machines with rubber belts can be used for blast cleaning, deburring and surface finishing of small and tumble-proof light-metal castings (aluminium, magnesium and others). They are of compact and simple design, and are well-proven in this application. The gentle tumbling of parts fully exposes all surfaces of the workpiece to the blast stream, ensuring an even finish.

Hanger Type Machines for Light Metal

Wheelabrator can provide a range of Hanger Type machines for the surface finishing of light metal castings, including pieces susceptible to impact damage. The transportation of workpieces on hangers opens up a number of possibilities for optimum material flow and facilitates functional and system-specific solutions for blast cleaning. Hanger Type machines can be batch or continuous (inline) and can serve to link individual manufacturing cells of a continuous production line.

Fully Automatic Continuous, and Flexible Blast Cleaning on Wire-mesh Belt Machines

Wire-mesh machines (Horizontal Belt) are especially suitable for blast cleaning and surface finishing of light metal parts. Flat, thin-walled and fragile parts are perfectly and deformation-free blast cleaned. The continuous, smooth and shockless transport of parts allows an automated operation, and results in short transport distances without intermediate stocking of parts and thus reduced operating cost.
